Center for Vascular Disease - Columbus Hospital - Chicago, Il: Designed and administered one of the nation's first multi-disciplinary Vascular Centers at an inner-city community hospital in 1991. Collaboration of vascular surgery, vascular medicine, and interventional radiology created a unique model for vascular care delivery that stands as a benchmark today.
Division of Vascular Surgery - UMSOM - Baltimore, MD: Extended the reach of UMSOM vascular resources and expertise to all University of Maryland Medical System affiliates. Created the Maryland Vascular Center concept and operationalized this program at our system institutions.
Maryland Vascular Center at BWMC - Glen Burnie, MD: Designed and provided administrative leadership and ongoing administrative assistance for a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary vascular care clinical facility that is among the finist and most successful in the nation
Maryland Vascular Center at Maryland General Hospital - Baltimore, MD: Designed and provided administrative leadership for a comprehensive vascular care program in a challenging urban environment. This effort has become one of the institutions most successful programs.
American Vascular Association - Chicago, Il: Created and provided administrative oversight for the first charitable foundationdedicated to increasing public awareness about vascular disease. Designed patient education materials. Developed public relations and marketing strategies.
American Vascular Association - National Vascular Screening Program - Glen Burnie, MD: Created and provided administrative oversight for the nation's largest and most comprehensive vascular screening program. The AVA has provided free screening for carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial disease (PAD), and abnormal aortic aneurysms (AAA) to almost 20,000 older Americans throughout the US. This program has helped define the magnitude of the vascular care problem in this country.
National Venous Screening Program - American Vascular Association - American Venous Forum: Created and provided administrative oversight to the nation's first national screening program for venous disease developed through the affiliation of the AVA and AVF, the largest and most prestigious vascular society focusing on venous disorders. Venous disease is ten times more prevalent than arterial disease in this country and it is expected that this program will grow rapidly.
National Aneurysm Alliance - Washington, DC: Assisted a multidisciplinary workgroup in the development of a program design and participated in political advocacy to provide CMS coverage for AAA screening. The effort has resulted in passage of designed legistation.
